Emily is a designer from the UK with a BArch from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She completed her studies in 2015 with a thesis looking at creating a new infrastructural typology for water reclamation in DTLA, research into community participation in activating city spaces, and prototyping several performative systems as a part of Cal Poly’s digital fabrication labs. Her thesis work received a 2015 Thesis Award at Cal Poly along with an honorable mention for her entry in Cal Poly’s 2014 Vellum Furniture Competition. In 2014, her project Restart[Tirupur] won AECOMs Urban SOS competition and presented at the Center for Architecture in New York. Outside the lab, Em likes to play piano, experiment, and bike around the city with her dog Kevyn.
