Jason Kelly Johnson, design principal at Future Cities Lab and Assistant Professor at CCA in San Francisco, will be giving a featured presentation at the "Public, Private, Protected" symposium hosted at UC Berkeley on 7 April, 2014. The organizers are Kyle Steinfeld and Joy Ko. The symposium will be held at Wurster Hall from 2-9pm. The symposium endeavors to take, "... stock of the current state of geometric and algorithmic literacy in architectural design education, and seeks to understand the evolving dynamic between increasingly powerful tools of design and the empowerment of designers." Other speakers include: Jose Sanchez (USC), Axel Killian (Princeton), Andrew Kudless (Matsys/CCA), Malcolm McCullough (UMich), Casey Reas (UCLA / Processing), Patrick Tierney (Autodesk) and Andrew Witt (Harvard).
