Jason Kelly Johnson Speaking at gray area PRIMER Conference

February 24, 2017 Jeff Maeshiro
GrayAreaPRIMER

Future Cities Lab Co-Founder and Design Partner Jason Kelly Johnson will be speaking on Saturday, February 25th at the PRIMER conference, hosted by Speculative Futures at Gray Area / Grand Theater in the Mission District of San Francisco, California. Jason will be speaking about the work of Future Cities Lab and its exploration of “robotic ecologies” - places where biology and machine intelligence merge, evolve, and co-create. He will discuss a few projects, such as Hydramax, Hydraspan, and the Theater of Lost Species, that allow us to visualize the future of how we live, work, communicate, and play. PRIMER is a design conference focused on Speculative Design, which include many categories such as design fiction, critical design, and discursive design. The theme for this conference will be “Emergent Pathways,” focusing on the possibility of unlikely connections to a potential path that will provoke knowledge of the possible. We hope to see you there!
